Kalippu is a poorly made movie that masquerades as a social drama with numerous messages. A strange mix of forced acting, forced storyline and aimless narration, it is a perfect recipe for a boring watch on the big screen.
The film tries to narrate the story of a group of youngsters who get entangled in a criminal case for none of their fault. Through the story, the film tries to educate all about the hidden pitfalls in video chatting, driving without a licence, how many around us wear a facade of being 'decent' while they are monsters towards children and the like.
Probably it might have had some potential at the conception level but the execution is nothing but shoddy. After all the drab and dreary proceedings with many actors and its music on overkill mode, arrives the no-brianer climax. The less said about it, the better.
The film is basically a sloppy ride with a chain of events that we have all seen before and is a mediocre effort, at best.
